Vicky, an international award winning medical illustrator, studied anatomy and physiology alongside medical students at the University of Toronto, sketched in the OR, and has worked with renowned researchers, sports medicine physicians, and surgeons around the globe. She began working at the University of British Columbia and its affiliated teaching hospitals in 1989 after receiving her BSc with a specialty in Medical Illustration and Biocommunications from the University of Toronto.
More recently, she acquired her Masters in Education Technology from the University of British Columbia with the goal to better understand technology for teaching and online education. Over the course of her career, Vicky has created thousands of illustrations for medical and scientific textbooks and journals, as well as artwork for legal litigation, video, animation and websites on a variety of topics. She has technical expertise in traditional art media as well as digital applications. She is well versed in Adobe Creative Suite, Prezi, Camtasia and Whiteboard animation techniques, focusing on digital drawing and enhanced medical/science illustration.
